The swell is keeping us alive! It’s never gone completely flat this ‘slow’ season, which is great, but it’s also great to have overhead waves when we’ve been getting shoulder high at best for the last few weeks. Swell is supposed to get bigger over the next few days and the odd thing is there is nobody here to enjoy them…except us of course. Our last group of guests had to get back to business and the next group doesn’t show up for another few days…which means a lot of barrels for Hector and I! Even our guide Carter decided he’d rather battle it out with the crowds down south, so we gave him the week off;-) As much as we wanted to go down and visit him, we might have to stay home and capitalize on Freight Trains with only two of us out!!!!!! By the way, for those of you who follow, Freight Trains is back. The sand bar had been beat down by some west wind swell during the rainy months…but with this new swell, we went to check it out and it’s working just fine…looks like it will be an awesome season next year and the off season is proving not bad either!
