We returned home from Gran Pacifica to empty lineups and itsy bitsy swell. GP was pretty small too and onshore winds were pretty dominant making even the morning sessions subject to morning sickness. We did get some rain though and that’s a blessing. We’re really hoping for some monsoon rains to help the sand bars that we typically rely on for the best of the best waves. Upon getting back home we found nobody surfing. There’s just not that many people around and I had to go out and catch a couple just so we could get some shots for the blog. Leave it to a Brazilian though, to follow me out and then immediately back paddle me!;-) Sorry to my Brazzo friends, but it’s your countrymen! After waiting about half an hour for one wave I made it pretty clear I was going. Got the shot though and he even did a couple turns to give us some photos to work with. We really need some bigger waves though…it feels like January without the offshore winds.
….it’s a beautiful day though!
