As this predicted swell moves into the one week window it’s giving us more confidence that we will have a solid swell. Starting on January 20th and then peaking for 21st and 22nd we’re going to be seeing overhead waves possibly up to 10 foot faces. The forecast then fades slighty into consistent head high waves over the next weeks. Again it might be slightly too small for the outer reef at Punta Miramar to break and it might be a little too big for the inside to be good, but Pipes should be great, it’s looking like a good direction for Shacks. Asuchillo will probably be firing as well, but we really are looking forward to spending time with our old mistress Freight Trains. The tides are moderate and low in the morning which is good. The break is quite a bit further in than it used to be so it can handle more wind than ususal. We’re hoping the early low tide will mean the winds are mellow anyway. It’s a great opportunity to hit Freight Trains in the mornings and Asuchillo or Pipes in the afternoon. As of now the crowds are really light around here- that could be because it’s knee to waist high. Hopefully we’ll get a few of you down here to capitalize on some freight train barrels! Let us know…!
