What’s up my friends…after a few weeks in beautiful, sunny , rainy, trafficky, freezing California…I’m back in Nicaragua and ready for some action. We saw some swell filling in today as promised, but what wasn’t promised was an afternoon wind shift. It wasn’t blown out, but it was an unseasonal onshore flow. The guys informed me that it was blowing offshore all day every day when I was gone. Thanks waves gods!
Anyway, the next few days look pretty fun and there’s even a pulse on the radar for the week after next. It’s hard to predict what the season is going to be like, but we’re hoping El Nino does something amazing. I’m not ready to call for a strike mission, but we’ll keep our eye on the forecasts and as we get to within a week of the forecast we’ll have a better idea if this is going to be a real swell.
The good news is that if it is a real swell there is a good chance Freight Trains will be working. I’m sure you remember from a month ago when we got our last real pules it was working…I’m guessing it’s only gotten better.
Let’s keep in mind, I’d rather be here not surfing than negotiating through Christmas traffic at the mall…To be determined. Happy New Year!
