STN is the closest camp to Punta Miramar, which is considered the best wave in Miramar! We are also about a 30 second walk to pipes and a 5 minute walk to both shacks and shifties! We have some secret spots too but I can’t tell you about those until you are down here… book
We offer surf lessons year around here with STN, we have beaches that are blocked from the big south swells of the rainy season and waves that pick up any little bit of swell in the dry season! We also have the most qualified and legitimate surf school in Miramar!
STN has the most extensive knowledge of the area and has the most experienced guides in all of Nicaragua! We have been around the longest and know when what waves will be best and more importantly… empty!
Nicaraguan people enjoy many sports but the one that towers over the rest is Baseball! I have watched some minor village vs village games and it is very intense and serious! The stands are always packed with cheering fans. I also visited Leon, the city closest to our camp during game 7 of the Leon
The majority of Nicaraguan meals are founded upon traditional Nicaragua foods. Those include corn, beans, plantains, yucca and peppers. A characteristic Nicaragua meal that you can try all over the country might include a meat like chicken, pork or fresh seafood from Nicaragua’s expansive coasts, deep-fried plantains, rice and beans (aka “gallo pinto”) and a cabbage
Nicaragua has two seasons: the rainy season and the dry season. The rainy season lasts from mid-May to mid-November, with October being the wettest month of all. It is not unusual in October to have medium to torrential rains that last for several days. Temperatures in this season usually range from 80 F to 90
Nicaragua has waves all year… but the biggest swells come from April to August. We still have some space and we would love to get you into the waves of your life! Here is a pic of Punta Miramar June 2016
