Learn to Surf in Nicaragua!
Starting at $1,700 for 6 nights all inclusive
If you always wanted to learn how to surf, or you already surf but want intensive coaching to help you progress quickly this package is for you. Both beginners and intermediate surfers looking to improve with daily surf instruction in the water and on the beach, plus video and photo analysis to show you what you really need to work on, can benefit from this package. You can learn to surf just steps from our lodge. We also have a wide variety of waves to sample and explore within 30 mins by boat or 4×4.

Schedule
day 1
Arrival in Managua
Casa La Barra will be waiting for you at the airport to welcome you to Nicaragua and transfer* you to our boutique oceanfront paradise, located in Playa Miramar.
Upon arrival, you will be shown the property and meet the staff. Your luggage will be taken to your already AC-cooled room, so unpack, change, and go barefoot style for the duration of your stay.
Jump in the Pool, crash in a hammock, beach walk, or ask for a shore fishing rod to try your fishing skills. During the dinner, the guide will explain the Surf Training itinerary and activities included.

day 2
Playa Miramar
While Staying at Casa La Barra every morning starting at 5 AM, we will have Fresh local coffee, Fruit, Cereal, Fresh Baked Banana Bread for your enjoyment. Your surf itinerary will begin at this point for the duration of your trip.
While staying in Playa Miramar guests will receive surf lessons/ Surfing Introduction, safety, paddling, and techniques on how to catch waves.

Surf & Fish

Volcano Ash Boarding

Surf & Estuary Sunset Booze Cruise in Playa Miramar / Puerto Sandino

This is the middle of the trip day, so you will start off with a morning surf, beach or pool day and early afternoon surf followed by our traditional estuary booze cruise into the mangroves of Puerto Sandino.

Masaya Shopping & Granada
This is a full day 7 AM to 7 PM where you will hop a micro bus with a professional tour guide taking you to Masaya the arts and crafts market a wonderful Nicaraguan shopping experience followed by a full tour of Granada with lunch provided.

Kids under 5 are free in the same family room. Children aged 6 to 12 are half price
If the surf is too big we do other activities free of charge such as visiting Leon, Laguna de Apoyo, Volcano boarding, fishing, estuary tours etc.
Overview
Anyone can learn to surf
In just a couple of days, we’ll show you how. You do not need to be an expert in the water. All you need is to have a sense of adventure and in just a few days, you’ll be jumping into the beautiful waves of Nicaragua.
Our surf lessons are all done by trained instructors and lessons take place in a safe environment. Video or photo analysis are also provided to improve your skills every day. Our instructors’ aim is to tailor the lesson to the participants’ abilities, keep you safe and make sure you have fun!
Our Qualifications
Our instructors are very experienced at teaching both in Nicaragua and internationally. We pride ourselves in providing the highest standard surf lessons; choosing the safest locations for all lessons.
Accommodation
Spend 6 nights at our Nicaragua surf resort on Punta Miramar, with a large beachfront compound and 7 private rooms, all ensuite bathrooms, A/C, swimming pool and surf view rancho/yoga platform, living room, dining room, kitchen, A/C, WiFi, new beds.

We love Casa La Barra! We spent a week there and it was the most perfect surf trip. The property is right on the beach and has a wonderful pool and lots of lounge space. The staff is awesome, the took wonderful care of us and we had a great timing hanging out with them. All the food is made on site and delicious. And the surfing was epic!!
